Joone Studios comprises primarily of two local Chicago filmmakers, Jessica Christopher and Jayme Joyce who, along with music producer Tony Trimm of Golden Floyd records, draw from a pool of hundreds of local freelancers on their various and simultaneous productions.

Jessica Christopher has been writing and directing short films in Chicago for the past five years. As a member and co-founder of Cirque Du Face FX., Jessica is a trained Special Makeup Effects Artist as well as a production designer. Her first short, SKIN DEEP, is a psychological horror film weaving special effects and production design into a haunting tale of hidden childhood memories. Jessica has partnered up with Jayme Joyce a local DP, writer and editor who shares many of the same visions on storytelling and aesthetic in film.

Jessica graduated from Columbia with a BA in Film and a minor in fiction writing. She has worked as a special makeup effects artist on over fifty films and has designed and built many sets for fellow filmmakers. In 2007 she produced a short called UGLY for local director Darren Cox and in 2009 she wrote, produced and co-directed FROZEN, a short horror film with Darren Cox as well. Cirque Du Face FX did the effects on both shorts. Recently Jessica has written and directed season 1 of Wet Dream, which is her first stab at writing comedy in an episodic format. She is slated to complete a feature; HE’S NOT THERE, with Jayme as their first feature film together under Joone Studios. She has also written and directed several music videos and is in the works with several different artists to complete at least two more this year.

Jayme Joyce is an avid writer and filmmaker residing in Chicago.  As a graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Fiction Writing and Art History, cinematography has proven to be the perfect fit for her love of visual storytelling.  After meeting at the Sundance Film Festival Jayme began collaborating with local film director Jessica Christopher co-producer / founder of Joone Studios.

Having shot and produced over a dozen short films and music videos, Jayme began working in commercials at Fave Media in March 2007, serving as their producer/writer meeting with all of the company’s corporate clients in order to write, produce, and shoot over 100 of their video commercials and industrials. Jayme began collaborating with local music video director and producer Tony Trimm of Golden Floyd Records in 2005.  Since then she has shot 8 music videos for the label.

In August of 2007, Jayme began working on a feature length documentary titled, “Dead On: The Life and Cinema of George A. Romero.” taking the reigns as a co- editor, and producer.  In addition, Jayme also shot a feature length documentary titled: “Bernal’s Picasso”, which she edited for its screening at a science conference in Osaka, Japan in August 2008.
